National Stem Honor Society
The National STEM Honor Society’s™ (NSTEM™) core mission is to inspire and recognize excellence from K to Career in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. At the high school level, many students have a passion for STEM, are able apply critical analysis and creative thinking skills, and work well collaboratively in teams. NSTEM provides these students with enrichment activities outside the classroom and resources that further encourage them to pursue their dreams of working in the fields of STEM. For students of limited means, NSTEM provides a very economical source of academic enrichment to help level the playing field of opportunity. Student participation in NSTEM also impresses future employers and colleges/universities.
National Honor Society
The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.
The purpose of the National Honor Society is to elevate students’ and schools’ academics, leadership, and community engagement.
Student Council
Our Student Council stands as a beacon of leadership and unity within our school community. Through active participation and dedicated mentorship, students develop invaluable skills in organization, communication, and teamwork. They spearhead a variety of events and initiatives, fostering a vibrant atmosphere where every voice is heard and valued. From charity drives to cultural celebrations, our Student Council members exemplify leadership and service, making our school a better place for all. Their dedication and innovation inspire us all to reach higher and embrace positive change.
Junior Mentors
Our Junior Mentoring Club offers students in grades 8 through 12 a platform to engage in impactful mentorship opportunities within our school community. Through coaching robotics teams, providing tutoring sessions, and assisting teachers as teaching assistants, our members play a pivotal role in fostering academic growth and personal development among their peers. This program not only cultivates leadership skills but also promotes a culture of support and collaboration, where students empower each other to achieve excellence.
