BHA PTO: 1st Annual Reading Month

The BHA PTO would like to take this time to appreciate all the parents, students, staff members, administration and volunteers who came together for our annual Reading Month. We had very successful events throughout the month which included a Read-A-Thon, Book Donation Drive, Read-Aloud, and Crescent Moon Book Fair. Our students had many opportunities to take a deep dive into reading, and cultivate a love for their own heritage. Alhamdulilah, we were also able to raise $8,000 for our brothers and sisters in Palestine!

Robotics Mentor Award

BHA takes immense pride in congratulating our 8th-grader, Aminah Siddiqui, for receiving the Mentor Award. Aminah, fueled by her passion for STEM, took on the role of coaching the 5th-grade robotics team for the fall season. From programming and building robotics to honing research and oral presentation skills, Aminah led her team comprehensively. Aminah’s remarkable performance has even caught the attention of the head of the robotics league, who has requested an interview with her, highlighting her exceptional talents at such a young age.

Triumphant 4th Grade Robotics Team

We proudly congratulate our 4th-grade robotics team for securing 1st place in the Core Values and Teamwork category at the San Diego Regional Robotics Competition. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and the challenges they have conquered. Special thanks to our team of junior mentorsโ€”Aisha Miazada, Abdurahman Mumin, Aya Ajanovic, and Hafsah Kaziโ€”for their invaluable support in guiding this young team to the top. Together, they exemplify dedication and excellence in the world of robotics
