Home Covid Test – All Students and Staff

UncategorizedComments Off on Home Covid Test – All Students and Staff

Assalamu’alaikum Dear Families,

We hope you had a wonderful Eid and enjoyed your holidays. School will resume on Monday, May 9th, and we look forward to seeing everyone.

As per our Covid policy, all students and staff are required to test for COVID-19 prior to returning from Eid Break on Monday, May 9th. Cases of Covid-19 are on the rise and we appreciate your help in keeping our school safe.

Please use an over the counter (OTC) testing kit to test at home. Students will receive a replacement kit from school in the coming week insha’Allah. (Our shipment was delayed and we could not give out the kits before going on break.)

When to test (OTC test):

-Students and staff should take the first test on Friday, May 6 — three days before their return to school or work.

-Students and staff should take the second test the morning of Monday, May 9 before coming to school or work.

-If the test is negative and no COVID-19 symptoms are present, the student is cleared to return. You don’t have to email us the results.

-If the test is positive, the student or staff member should stay home. Please email a picture of the positive results to covidtesting@issdweb.org.

If doing a PCR test (with your healthcare provider), please test on Friday or Saturday morning so you can receive the results by Monday morning.

Reminder: Continue to self-monitor for symptoms every day, and stay home if feeling unwell.

International Travel: PCR test is required for return to school – email us a copy of the result. Testing is recommended on day 3-5 after return date as per CDC guidelines.

Jazakum Allahu khairan. We are very grateful to Allah SWT and to our students and parents for your co-operation and diligence, masha’Allah. We couldn’t do it without you!

May Allah SWT continue to bless our school and our families.

Best regards,
