Update

Assalaamu Alaykum Dear Parents,

I hope and pray that you are doing well, and that you and your families are keeping safe. Alhumdulillah, we made it through our first two weeks of our ‘Home Learning Program’, and it looks like this will continue for some time. This has been quite a challenging time for everyone, and Alhumdulillah we are all trying to make adjustments to our lifestyles to suit the current circumstances and the uncertainties. May Allah SWT help us to make the best of these challenges and opportunities which lie before us.

Since it looks like we will have to continue the “Home Learning Program” longer than initially planned, I have been having many discussions with the staff and admin on how to improve on the program moving forward. The hope is to bring in some unique offerings to keep the students engaged and stimulated. We would also like to hear from you about your experience thus far. A survey is being put together, so that we may get feedback from the parents . It will insha Allah be emailed soon. It would be appreciated if you could respond, as soon as you receive it. We are also planning to have an online live forum with the parents upon completion of the survey, and summary of the data. This will allow an opportunity for live communication.

In the meantime, I have a couple of requests. Please make sure you continue to make tuition payments in a timely manner, and please catch up as soon as possible on any past due balances. Also, please let us know immediately if the current pandemic has created a financial hardship for you, so that we may work together to explore potential solutions.

The easiest and best way to make a payment right now is to add Islamic School of San Diego to your bill pay on online banking account, and you can make manual payments or set a schedule . Use the school PO Box address (5663 Balboa Ave Box # 407, San Diego, CA 92111). Also please add the grade and student name in the memo. For the time being, Br Ismail is also in the office if you wish to drop off a payment.

Please enjoy your time with the families during the spring break this coming week and insha Allah I will continue to communicate with you. The teachers will be back online April 6th, following the spring break, so there will be no classes/instruction next week.

We hope for the best through these difficult times, as Prophet Muhammad PBUH said, “Hoping for good is also an act of worship of Allah.”

May Allah SWT bless us all with wisdom, and help us to remain patient and positive during this challenging time.

Have a wonderful weekend and spring break and stay safe.

Jazakumullahu Khairan,
Wassalaam
