Asalaamu’ Alaykum wrwb,
San Diego county will be experiencing a heatwave that is expected to last about a week. Due to these hot conditions, we would like to implement a few changes to ensure our students and staff are safe insha’Allah.
Starting tomorrow, students will not be expected to wear uniforms. Please dress them comfortably, in light, breathable fabrics. Closed toe shoes are still required for safety reasons. We highly encourage students to bring water bottles and healthy snacks as well.
We will turn the air conditioning units on high and keep the school at a comfortable temperature. Students will also take extra water breaks to cool off. Lastly, outdoor activities will be limited until the heatwave is gone insha’Allah.
The well-being of our students is our top priority at BHA. We will continue these accommodations until the weather in San Diego stabilizes.
