Assalamo Alaykum Parents,
I hope you are doing well by the grace of Allah SWT. We are excited to announce that BHA has officially started it’s second year implementing Character Education/Tarbiya in our school. As part of that initiative we have a designated character trait every month in which our students will participate in learning experiences from a classroom level to a school-wide assembly setting.The students will engage in opportunities to educate their peers on the given themes broken down by weeks.
In an effort to promote the home/school connection, we will send you a newsletter informing you of the current trait at the beginning of each month insha’Allah. Please print out the attached newsletter and engage in activities and discussions with your children at home so the teachings gain further depth and value. You may visit our website under the Character Education section for information on the projects and presentations presented by our staff and students.
During the month of October, we are learning about Leadership. Our staff are working together to give our students an opportunity to demonstrate their leadership.
Prophet Muhammad (s) said: “God has sent me as an apostle so that I may demonstrate perfection of character, refinement of manners and superiority in behavior.”
Abu Hurayrah said that the Prophet of Allah, upon him be peace, said, “If one has good manners, one may attain the same level of merit as those who spend their nights in prayer.”
