As you may know, San Diego County has declared a local and public health emergency in response to COVID-19, the illness caused by the 2019 novel coronavirus. It is important for our school to be vigilant in preventing the spread of communicable illness, including not only COVID-19 but also the “regular” flu and common cold as well. We will add to our daily school cleaning, additional sanitization of contact areas like door knobs, hall passes, desks etc. Please remind your child not to share food, drink, other items, and to wash hands with soap for at least 20 seconds. If your child shows any signs of fever or respiratory illness, keep him or her at home and notify the school. We are following the San Diego Unified School District’s lead and will keep you updated on school operations. There is no reason to panic but we advise everyone to stay informed and to take the required precautions.
Please read the attached documents from the San Diego Unified School District, as well as the CDC for guidelines and more information.
