Arrival & Dismissal Time – Finals Week
School starts as usual promptly at 8:00 AM this coming week. Students are encouraged to be on time as they will report directly to their classrooms all week in order to accommodate full time.
Because of finals, students may be picked up from Allied Gardens after the core classes at 12:50 for extra time to study, read Qur’an, or rest before Taraweeh; otherwise, the dismissal and bus departure remain at 2:00. Just come to the office and the student will be called, insha’Allah. (However, 8th grade students will be needed in preparation for their promotion ceremony.)

Holiday
Reminder that there is no school on Monday, May 27. May you all have a relaxing day with your family.

Orphan Fund
Be sure to send or bring in money for our orphan sponsorship. The monthly donation is $5 per student. Ramadan is the best time to bring enough for any missed months as well as for June since the reward is multiplied in this holy month.

Student Newsletter
Attached are three student interviews for this week. Thank you to these motivated 6th grade reporters. Next week should feature a couple more reporters, insha’Allah.

Very Inspiring Assembly
Our students benefited, insha’Allah, from an assembly on Wednesday by the Helping Hands organization which featured two Muslim parents who demonstrated mercy and compassion through forgiveness of those responsible for the death of their children. Be sure to talk to your children about these two amazing individuals. Their stories can be viewed at these links:

Community Soccer Program
If you missed last week’s sign-up for the community soccer program with Br. Toumi which begins after Ramadan and continues through summer and fall, you may sign-up in the office.
