Bright Horizon Academy is excited to announce the BHA Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society and BHA Chapter of the National Honor Society which is an organization for exceptional students. The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and National Honor Society (NHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.
Qualifying for such an honor depends on a GPA of 3.5 for NJHS and 3.6 for NHS, excellent character, citizenship, leadership, and volunteer work. (However, for the current year we are not yet going to consider the leadership and community service.) Students who are accepted into the society will plan and take on some projects that will help the school and the community, insha’Allah. If your GPA for the last semester is 3.5 or higher, you have the chance to become a member of the NJHS. If your GPA for the last semester is 3.6 or higher, you have the chance to become a member of the NHS.
In order to do so, kindly submit the form. Filling the form does not guarantee automatic acceptance. Members will be decided after all applications have been reviewed by the faculty council. The faculty council consists of five staff members whose responsibility is to assess and choose the top students from the applicants. Forms submission deadline will be announced soon.
Please visit their websites at https://www.njhs.us/ or https://www.nhs.us/ for more information. For further questions and details, kindly contact Ms. Hanan Deeb or the AG Office administration.
